"I believe that the best organizations are those that realize that the people they employ are truly their strongest assets."

“Stop looking for leadership in everyone else but yourself.” One of the best pieces of advice I ever received, and one that made me realize that my values, the experiences I’ve had, and the variety of people I’ve learned from in my life have all provided me with a firm foundation for my own leadership.

With a mixture of deep listening, creative and strategic thinking and a ‘glass half full’ mentality, I am a communications professional who thrives in organizations where they value these three qualities. As for the kind of organizations I admire? Champions in diversity and inclusion, ethical business practices, and a culture that promotes fairness and kindness. And if they aren’t quite “champions” yet, they thrive to get to that level!

I also believe that the best organizations are those that realize that the people they employ are truly their strongest assets. The more employees believe in a brand, the greater chance that brand has for success.

A native Washingtonian with more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, I consider myself fairly ambidextrous – I’ve worked for the federal government, a public policy institution, and several private sector firms including a Fortune 500 company. I have built a department from the ground up, as well as the team to support it.

If you’re looking for someone who considers herself both a visionary and a pragmatist, then here I am. Not to mention my deep knowledge of ‘I Love Lucy,’ ‘The Cosby Show,’ and ‘Frasier.’ And I have a pretty good sense of humor too!
